- Annual Report Comments.
Managing Director Wilson McOrist reports that 2003 has been a
highly successful year for the organization.
"Globally
we now have over 275 franchisees. This year we have established
our first franchisee operations in Quebec in Canada, into Portugal,
South Africa, Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada, Ireland and
the Netherlands. Strong growth has continued in the USA with now
over 120 franchisees, over 70 in Australia, 25 in New Zealand
and 25 in the UK."
Finance Director
Suzanne McOrist reports on the financial stability of individual
franchises, as well as the financial stability of Computer Troubleshooters
globally.
"A feature
of 2003 has been the number of individual franchisees who have
expanded their operation past the $250,000 level. At least two
outlets now are billing over $1,000,000 annually with many in
the range $250,000 - $500,000 range."
"Computer
Troubleshooters International continues to fund its growth out
of its own reserves and remains free from debt. This places the
company in an ideal position to continue its expansion in the
next few years"
Wilson McOrist
sees the focus for the organization in 2004 to be in the key areas
of strengthening the position of existing franchisees and on increasing
the name recognition and brand awareness.
He states:
"Although it is likely that we will move into Spain and France
next year, and into new Asian countries like South Korea, our
focus will be to continue to improve the service, support and
training we provide to existing franchisees."
"Natural growth
will allow us to expand further in countries where we are currently
operating but our future is based on maintaining close links with
existing franchisees to ensure they are successful. If we make
sure they are, attracting high quality people into the group will
not be a difficult task."

May 2003:
The media focus on the SARS situation has not deterred the conference
organizers or the majority of Troubleshooters. Over 50 people are
booked to attend the 2003 International Conference in Toronto May
30th -31st 2003. Air Canada, and probably some other airlines, are
offering some really deep discounted airfares to Toronto from many
destinations. The hotel is excellent (Four Star) with 24 hour restaurants
and room service, 2 indoor pools, whirl pools, well equipped exercise
rooms, good restaurants and other great facilities. There is dial-up
internet connection in all rooms and for those that do not want
to bring a laptop there is a business centre with computers with
internet access for a small fee. This will be an event to remember.
April 2003:
South Africa

in Randburg South Africa, has recently completed his start up training,
and he brings yet another country, South Africa, into the Troubleshooters

"We have Troubleshooters booked in already from the United Kingdom,
Australia, Kuwait, Mexico as well as from over 16 states in the

event, "not to be missed".
